Is Splatoon 2: Octo expansion region locked?

Hey, I wanted to get the Octo expansion for Splatoon 2 but, I can't find it in the Market and if I try to buy it from Amazon they tell me that it's unavailable for purchase in Hungary.

Can I not buy the expansion at all or what's going on?

I remember one of the selling points of the switch was that they removed region locked. I'm not to sure if it counts for DLC but might help with your problem

I can just switch regions but, I'm afraid that it might mean higher ping in multiplayer games and that they wouldn't let me play Splatoon  2 with European region after getting the DLC.

Alright, switching regions did the trick. I was able to buy it and just change my region back to normal. Thanks
