Hello everyone! So, i recently decided that my GTX 960 isn't at the top of its game anymore, and thought about replacing it. I don't really have enough money to look into somehting as powerful as a 1080, so i thought i would save up, buy a GTX 1070 and maybe, in the future, get another one. At the moment however, the FSP PSU that i have is non-modular, so i only have 2 PCIE power cables. Looking at the majority of the 1070s i noticed none of them have only one power connector and I'm starting to think this may not be such a good ideea. Could you advise me on where i could find such 1070s and if this is a viable solution? Thanks in advance!

The Nvidia 1070 only requires one cable, but those are usually harder to grab.

Yeah you just have to pay attention to the description as well as the picture provided. A lot of the 1070s only require on cable, but I believe the 1070 ti does require two.

If you're going to buy a second one why not save up for the 1080? Depending on how long it takes you to save up for the 1070 it might be worth the little bit of wait to save for the 1080 with the possible new cards coming out.

I used to be all ASUS about 10 years ago... Till their CS and products started screwing up (for CS I blame being Canadian). I was using Gigabyte for a bit, both boards still work great, I chose to go with MSI and EVGA for this build. I won't ever touch ASUS again because of bad CS (long story) and products that like to fail after their warranty or 1 year whichever comes first...

I expect my key components to last at least 5 years in my computer... ASUS failed that at least 3 times 2MBs one wireless card. Their other units all died under 2 years fastest was 6 months... Maybe just bad luck, but I won't touch bad luck if possible ;)
