Hey everyone! So I am new to the forum but a longtime fan of LMG and LTT. I recently realized that due to the field I am getting into as a near-graduate with a compsci degree that my Surface laptop that I mostly used for browsing and little else (SOME web dev) was not gonna cut it. I do a lot of virtualization and crypto testing that requires a lotta RAM.

I actually found (what I thought to be) a great deal via that "W" store that seems to own the world, and let's be honest Best Buy is next to never helpful.

Here's the link to what I have:

Please, like I said I would love to see what everyone's opinion is. I don't play pretty much any AAA titles, but I do mod quite a bit in games such as Skyrim.

Thanks!

Its a good laptop. I have the 7700HQ version of it with a RX580 and if its anything like mine it should keep the CPU clocks at turbo all the time (Not sure if that's the case though since your CPU is 6 cores not 4) and handle pretty much whatever you throw at it, good choice.

Dell G15 Ryzen Edition

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600H GPU: RTX 3050 RAM: 32GB DDR4 Storage: 512GB + 4TB SSD

MSI Modern 14

Thanks!! I like hearing input from a community I trust.

Honestly, the spec looks good and it's nice that it doesn't use the QMax card...but....I still can't recommend an HP laptop. Too many bad experiences.

Are you in a rush to buy? Dell and Lenovo offer extremely good deals in the latter half of August for back to school.

Hey, Welcome.

So this is for school?

The Omen is very, Gamer looking, Not sure if that is what you want, Maybe you dont mind, But it tends to stand out a lot.

But hey, You might like it.

I have also seen some posts saying the fans are rather noisy, And there has been some overheating posts.

If you want something more layed back bias but I just bought the Legion Y530 by Lenovo, And love it! Mind you it only comes with the 1050ti, But I it can run AAA titles at med to high at 60FPS.

I made a review on it, If youd like to check it out :)
