Does Bluetooth 5 headphones fix audio delay in gaming?

Hi, I currently own a pair of Bose Soundsport Wireless and use the S9. They're great, except in gaming. There's a slight delay in the sound, which ruins the experience and forces me to play with wired headphones. Recently there have been a few Bluetooth 5 headphones being released. So I was wondering, if I were to use Bluetooth 5 headphones with my S9, will it fix this problem and eliminate audio delay in games?

I have only ever encountered that issue with cheap or older bluetooth devices. Even my car (2017 Ford Edge Sport) doesn't have any delay and thank god for that or keeping people entertained on long trips would be a PITA. I mean if I remember correctly those are about 2 years old.

I would think bluetooth 5 would eliminate the delay in most cases

I use 1000XM2s as my daily pair when I'm out and about.

They're not BT5.0, but they perform well, with a caveat.

In my campus, where there are tons of Wi-Fi signals everywhere alongside BT (since no one turns off BT when they're not using it), my headphones skip a lot and there's a bit of a delay at times. However, when I'm home, this isn't an issue.

Yeah my speaker here:

Doesn't have any delay, but the one in my car is massive.

It just depends on the quality of the hardware, bluetooth version seems to be irrelevant
