Is there any problem with 2*4gb + 2*8gb ram ?

My motherboard supports dual channel ram and it has 4 ram slots. Now i have 2*4gb ram (total 8GB). Now i want to add more ram.

Is there any problem if i buy a 16GB ram kit(2*8) and insert them in my motherboard to get total of 24GB ram?

There shouldn't be any problem, as long as the frequency and timings of all the chips are compatible with each other. Also, because you're using 4 sticks with 2 channels, my recommendation would be of course to have a 4GB and an 8GB stick for each channel, instead of a channel with all the 4GB sticks and the other with all the 8GB ones

So, i will need to buy ram of same frequency and latency.

Getting ram of same latency often becomes a little hard.

Are you talking about those timings which are mentioned as: 16-18-18-36

I want to know. Please tell me.

Yes, exactly: if you can't find an exact match for the timings and frequency, check with CPU-Z (under the SPD tab) what are your JEDEC and XMP profiles for your current RAM modules, and be sure to find memory sticks which at least have one of those profiles matching (it doesn't need to be i.e. a JEDEC#5 with a JEDEC#5, it can be a JEDEC#5 with an XMP#1 or whatever, you just need to have one of the profiles of the 2*4 sticks matching one of the profiles of the 2*8 sticks, independently of the name)
