Iv had people say this motherboard won't last on this build, and if so is there any motherboards within the price range which would blow it away?

@ZINHAR OC ram? its at 3200mhz already, also why would there be any instabilities? Finally I don't know any good PSU's mind finding on for me so I don' have to "Undervolting" (Much thanks)

Z370-H sucks. It's the 100 quid Z370-P with RGB, and cost twice as much (price of the Z370-H drops to £159 if you buy from Aria PC, still a bad buy). Having 4 sets of VRMs and heatsink that small is not enough for an overclocked 6 core CPU. If will run hot as a result, maybe not thermal throttle but definitely bad news for the capacitors around them. Caps dont like heat.

For 8700k, memory above 2666MHz is already 'overclocked'. XMP is a 'factory overclock', to put it that way.

Amazon UK only, I'd get the equally priced Asrock K6. It has all the features you'd want, like dual BIOS (so you wont get stuck on a bad BIOS flash), post code display (tells you why the mobo doesnt work properly through a code, which can be 'deciphered' by the users manual) and VRMs overkill enough to support overclocked 8 core Intel CPUs (9th gen). All are things the Z370-H dont have (even the more costly Z370-E/F dont have dual BIOS or post code display, instead using debug LEDs)

Does this mean I don't have to do anything to them. I can leave them as they are and have no problems. This build needs to last 3-5 years.

Just apply XMP, raise the frequency to 3200MHz (some mobo do this automatically, others dont) and you're good.

I'm not sure unfortunately. My old Asrock board doesnt, I dont know if Asrock added this function in much newer boards.

 

memory frequency settings will be right below XMP though, so if you can find XMP, you can find memory frequency
