I own the LG G7 ThinQ and that phone has a Quad DAC and a built in surround sound feature. I'm not someone who is knowledgeable with audio and looking for a pair of earphones/headphones that would take advantage of the Quad DAC built in the phone. I currently own the Klipsch Reference R6 eadphones and i damaged the right earphone, the sound quality was really good but I don't know if they triggered the use of the Quad DAC.

You'll always need some sort of DAC, because your phone produces a digital signal that needs to be converted to an analog signal to drive the headphones. A quick search revelas that the Quad refers to the design, combining four DACs to reduce noise.

Other than that, if you really like your current ones, get them again if still possible?

I have the G6 which has QuadDAC as well, I think there are 3 modes. HiFi Quad DAC is enabled whenever I plug my IEM or headphone in....even my cheap Senfer 4in1 (32 Ohm) 'triggers the HiFiQuad DAC.

Max 150CAD

Go to a Visions store in Canada and buy the KEF M100 for $100 cad. These headphones sound amazing and the price is hard to beat.

They also have other headphones and the prices are great. Especially for anything KEF because nobody wants to buy from KEF for some reason.
