You can find it on the US Lenovo site under ThinkPad T series, but it uses a 7th gen CPU, so only a dual core vs quad core with 8th gen and it starts at about 1710 USD.

most likely not, but who knows. I doubt it, since it is a special edition model to honor the old laptops.

Yes, this is why I want the old design model. I know it does not have the greatest top-notch features, but I think for the keyboard, and the design is worth it. I even like the AMD Ryzen model Thinkpad's that are coming out, but the keyboard is killing it for me.

well yeah the old style is great, I love it too. It is more like a desktop keyboard. If the new ThinkPad keyboard is killing you, then you will absolutely hate all other laptops, since the new ThinkPad keyboard is still considered the best or amongst the best.

I am using a old T420s myself and I love the keyboard, sadly it is time for the laptop to be upgraded.

I have tried to give Dell XPS and MacBook Pro a try for the keyboard, but It was not great experience or me. I have two old Thinkpads that I still use until this day, and It's pleasant to type on them this is why the 25 model was attractive to me. Even though I like AMD Ryzen new CPU's, but it has the new keyboard which is good but as the old ones.

I personally can't tolerate the MBP keyboard, no travel at all with the newer models.

Honestly either you choose performance or you choose paying a premium and get the old keyboard style.

I know the frustation, I have the same, after using the old style for close to 7 years in a row almost every day, my first laptop was also a ThinkPad. I think that I have used the old ThinkPad laptop keyboards for 10 years combined now.

you could always hunt for one of the old style ThinkPad USB keyboards and then use that when you use it at home, but that is a weird and less than optimal solution.

Exactly, I wish the old keyboards become standard again in the Thinkpad's. When I use my old Thinkpad and compare it to the newer models keyboards, I feel sad for how quality and premium are changed nowadays. I'm used to mechanical keyboards but sometimes I have to use a laptop and going from a mechanical keyboard to a MacBook Pro keyboard is painful. This is the reason why I'm in the market for a new Thinkpad.

well the quality of the thinkpad keyboard is the same, it is just a different key design.

Seems like we have a lot incommon when it comes to keyboards, at home with my desktop I am also using a mechnical keyboard.

I have actually been hunting for the keyboard I send a picture of, just with a ISO layout, but damn it is hard to find.

It is quite the dilemma tbh.

Yes, I think the one you have sent is really hard to find, what is the model number for it? I really like the design of it but you can just get a smaller mechanical keyboard if the price is high.

I have no idea about the model number, but the model name is legit just ThinkPad compact USB keyboard. I think that the new models of it are about $60 new, I have seen some of the old ones with ANSI layout being sold for $40.

Yeah sure small mechanical keyboards are also an option. You just have to get a switch that doesn't annoy the other people in the room/office, so no MX blue like I use.

nah reds for me is pure hate, I can't stand them, browns are okay they are a bit more wobbly than the blue in my experience at least. Anyways this is about you :D
