Hey everyone! So I'm upgrading my old PC. I've kept some parts from my rather old build, and gave away the others to my little brother. Anyway I just want opinions on this build I've come up with and any suggestions or issues I may or may not run into. Going for a black/red theme for the tower itself currently. Going to be using the PC for gaming all the way from indie games to the latest titles. As well as some video/photo editing. Thank you in advance for the help!

Mostly price. These two together are cheaper than one 960, or 1TB SSD. At least from my quick glance. Plus I'm weird on organizing my files. Between games, school, work, and my hobby stuff I'll personally be able to organize it better between the two SSDs and the one HDD.

Get the Crucial MX500, $177 on Amazon. You could even get two, either 2 sata or one m.2 and one sata, and eliminate the WD if you want to. You can drop the price on the motherboard, RAM, and PSU with this list and get it for just $60 more, all while keeping with your black/red theme, and all without sacrificing part quality:

EDIT: If you need Wifi, that motherboard I linked doesn't have it. This one does, but it's $30 more. It's up to you whether you need that or not.

I'm not in need of Wifi but thanks! I actually appreciate the price savers! So would this mobo also be good for overclocking? Also may I ask which would be better? The 2 sata or the 1 sata and 1 m.2?

The Z370 boards do overclock. I've never used the MSI Z series boards myself as I'm more of an AsRock guy, but the board is well rated. I just see some suggestions to do a bios update before installing windows. You should be able to do that with a flash drive.

m.2 sata is a little faster than sata, but it's barely noticeable in real world boot times and loading times. The big jump is from HDD to SSD. Just keep in mind that using an m.2 port will disable one sata port on the motherboard as it shares bandwidth.

Also sorry for the double post, but another question. I noticed the RAM you changed it to was 2400. Is there a difference between that and say 3200?

I think I may have just done that by accident. I was searching for RAM sticks that matched your color scheme and may have forgotten to filter the speeds. You can swap out for any similarly priced DDR4-3000 sticks you want from reputable brands, like this one for example:
