No SATA power from power supply? 6-pin to SATA

A couple years ago I bought a prebuilt Dell computer. In the computer, there is a 1 terabyte Western Digital hard drive. Normally a hard drive is connected to the power supply with a SATA power cable. But, instead of being connected to my power supply, it is connected to the motherboard with a 6-pin to SATA power cable. The 6 pin port on my motherboard is called "SataP1" My motherboard has another 6 pin port called "SataP2" so I was wondering if I could use the same cable that my hard drive is using to power an SSD. I've never seen a cable like this so I'm sorry if I sound dumb. This is the cable I found online. Will that work?

Could you take a photo of the cable that connects the hard drive to the motherboard, it might help in finding an original cable, its always better to find an original for oem stuff like this, it lowers the likelihood of bricking stuff and thus losing money.  Try and see if you can find the model number of the board too, that will help the finding the part.

Not home right now. But when I get home I will make sure to do so.

SATA power is SATA power, as both HDDs and SSDs use the same connector there is really no difference.  If the HDD worked, the SSD will.

The first picture is the cable installed on my Dell prebuilt. As you can see, it's a 6 pin to sata. One wire that comes from it is actually connected to my optical drive. The second picture is the cable I bought, but it did not fit, as it was too big. What is the cable I need?

Check the shapes of the pins, they might be different to that of the original cable.
