Upgrading a Pre-Built PC/ Buying a new PC

Hey everyone, so I was thinking about buying a new PC a while ago but then the thought of upgrading my current one occurred to me. The only thing about my current one is that it's prebuilt, and thus I don't know the compatibility of its components if I were to upgrade it (The computer is around 4 years old). My currents specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790S CPU @ 3.20GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750
12 GB RAM (not sure if ddr3 or ddr4)
1 TB Harddrive

Asus K30AD_M31AD_M51AD Motherboard

(I'll attach a word doc with more specifics) The GPU is pretty outdated, and I want to upgrade that first. However, to avoid bottle-necking I figured I should install more RAM and replace my CPU and Power Supply as well. I'm also gonna open up my PC to check the components I can't find out automatically and have to physically see, and I'll update it here in the future.

What would you guys say is the best course of action? Should I try upgrading this one or just buy a new one entirely? Anything would help, thanks so much!

just a GPU and maybe and ssd for a boot drive and you'll be fine. 12gb of ram is enough.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Haswell would be using DDR3, but 12GB should be fine. So yea, new GPU, maybe a SSD to get things working smoothly, and check out what sort of PSU you have. Based on the fact it's an ASUS board, I'm guessing the OEM is either ASUS or HP. If it's the former, then the PSU will be of good quality, but might be lacking in connectivity or wattage. If it's the latter... well I wouldn't bet on it.
