So I'm planning on buying one of these nice little CPU. I'll have the i5 8600k witht a z370 Mobo from gigabyte. (Aorus Gaming 3) So at the moment, I'm using a Air cooler (Can't remember the correct model but I think it's a T3 from cooler Master) with a i5 6400. So my question is, if I don't OC this i5 8600k am I fine with this cooler or should I go with Liquid cool ? (I mean, eventually I'll get there but right now I'm just trying to save some money  :D)

Thanks :)

you can keep that cooler if you are just running stock, id get a large air tower over an AIO though unless you plan on getting something big like a 280

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Cooler Master budget coolers and the 8600K only mesh well on stock. If you're going to overclock to 4.5GHz and above, go get a different cooler.

You don't need to buy a liquid cooler at all, you can get just as low temps with an air cooler, see my Arctic 33 Freezer 33 eSports, 30°C idle and 45-55°C while gaming.
