Ryzen R7 2700X: Max memory speeds, and does it affect perfomance a lot?

Planning to build a 2700X system with a Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 5 WiFi mobo, and I want to get the best performance out of it. I'm pairing it with a Noctua NH-D15 that I already own, but I need to buy new RAM for it and plan to max it out at 64GB in the future for video/photo editing purposes. It's also being used for 1440p gaming with a GTX 1080.

 

I know Gen 1 Ryzen saw pretty decent performance improvement with improved memory speeds, but is this still noticeable on Ryzen+ systems? Is the performance worth the extra monetary investment?
Also, I know Gen 1 Ryzen was very picky about the RAM modules that it was most-compatible with those systems, and they used Samsung B-die memory modules. Is this the same case for Ryzen+?

Currently I was looking at this G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 32MHz (2 x 16GB) kit that I plan to upgrade later in the future when RAM prices (hopefully) drop down further.

yes, since Zen+ differ little to the original Zen.

less so nowadays for both Ryzen 1000 and 2000 than before because of many BIOS updates.
