I have an EVGA GTX 1070 SC Black Edition, and whenever I am playing games, the fans start to make a weird sound, as if something was in the fan. However, when the PC is not under a load, and I crank the fans to the max via Afterburner, no such sound is present. I know it is not coil whine.

Mating call. Get another 1070 near it for some free hardware in 9 months.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

it may be a heat-based problem. not the fan itself. cause if it was the fan then it would make the sound no matter the load just the fan speed. If it is indeed a heat-based problem I don't know what to tell you because I'm not into the science on the way heat affects computing parts. I do recommend searching this. also, try and put the fan on low speed and put it under load. If it makes a noise then it is definitely a heat problem and NOT a fan problem.

Also, I don't appreciate that username on this forum bud.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I did a lot of testing, and that noise still didn't come on when it was at 80C. However, when gaming without my side panel on, and I used my finger to stop the fan, and when the fan slowed down, the noise stopped.

That card has 2 fans if im not mistaken. do both of the fans make this noise or just one?

After doing some more research, I found it's a common problem for a wire to be sticking out. I tried fixing this and it seems to be working so far. Thanks anyways.
