Download a utliity like treesize free, it'll tell you which folder contains all that space. Also run a disk cleanup once in a while to get rid of caches and other junk.

Do you have hidden files turned on? If not, the files could be hiding.

Open Explorer, right-click on your C:-drive, select Properties. Click on Disk Cleanup, then "Cleanup system files" -- you'll probably see previous Windows-versions and/or updates taking up a lot of space on the list that shows up, you can safely clean those out.

I'd suggest to run a program like WinDirStat to see which files / folders are taking up the most space in your drive

Use WinDirStat and sort based on file size.

Also if you have a system restore point, you can actually try deleting them (not frequently though). You might be surprised how big it can be.
