Monitor Refresh rate

GRMRPR

I have an HP OMEN 24 inch monitor it says it goes to 144hz but from going to testufo it's saying 60. Any way to bump that number up cause if not it's Bs they'd even put 144 on it

Make sure you have set 144Hz in Windows or in the GPU Driver.

If this is not available, try to set cusom resolution for 144Hz, if that doesent work try DP, its is very likely that 144Hz is only available via DP.

That's the wrong place, That option is for games what refresh rate to run at. You should check the resolution part of the monitor section.

No, of the resolution section in the Nvidia Control Panel I meant. But if Windows reports 144 there's a good chance it is running at it. Definitely try @Glenwing's suggestion.

Yeah I think it is running at 144 or 143hz cause both windows and nvidia report it

Well you are running at 144 Hz. Another crude test can be to just put the monitor to 60 Hz, open an explorer window and drag it around. Do the same at 144 Hz, you'll probably see a difference.

Otherwise, it might be an issue with your mouse.

[Edit] well, not an issue, but just caused by the mouse.

Brand doesn't say anything. I had a Logitech mouse that caused issues where the polling rate held the monitor back somehow. It was running at 144 Hz, but the desktop, for example, wasn't truly 144 Hz fluidity. Upgrading to the Logitech G502 fixed it.

Anyway, glad it was just the browser :)
