Which laptop for the same price?

I'm looking to buy a new gaming/school laptop and i've found 2 laptops with similair specs and the same price

HP Power Pavilion 15-cx0002ng

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07D6WLCWL/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&psc=1

Lenovo Legion Y520

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01N6PUG26/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&psc=1

Which laptop would be the best pick?

I was thinking the HP would be a better choice becouse of the coffee lake processor and longer battery life (at least they claim so), all the other specs seem about the same.

Anyone have any experience with both laptops and can compare?

Thnxx

I have the GTX1050 version of the HP since yesterday, and it turbos rather well. Mine sits at 3.8-3.9GHz most of the time, even when gaming. It's a beast, that 8300H.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Can you say anything about the thickness and build quality? I'm looking to carry it arround on campus at all times so solid build quality would be better for me

It feels quite sturdy. The palm rest and lid are metal, which gives it quite bit of rigidity. Not bad at all. It's not super light, though. A gaming laptop isn't designed for that. Not super thick, not ultrabook thin.

@navioooo

Entry level IPS panel. Not super bright, colors are pretty good but not amazing. Mine has a matte display so that's always slightly worse for colors, but I hate glossy displays with a passion.

I'll have to do more testing to conclude anything on that matter. Didn't notice any throttling during a 64-player conquest match in BF1 with medium details at 1080p, but no numbers yet. It's not my main machine by any stretch, and I'm not home most of the day.

The Pavilion is definitely better value for the price.

I think it is good to wait for a few reviews or look at the device in person. HP's build quality varies widely. My dad's company provides all employees with Elitebooks and though they aren't that powerful mostly used only for spreadsheets etc. and made of plastic they have brilliant build quality. My dad dropped it accidentally from a height of 3 feet and just a slight dent in one corner. I owned a HP Pavilion from 2008 to 2014 and the build quality was really good but internals were obviously very slow.
