Games for a potato laptop

Go to solution Solved by Slurpy,

may i point you to a channel called LowSpecGamer? he has some good tutorials on how to run just about any game on just about any hardware.

Also, notes from me personally:

Minecraft runs good on anything, just make sure to install optifine

Kerbal space program on lowest settings will give you fun for your battery's lifetime(i ran it on intel HD620 at 30fps on okish settings)

ive heard fallout new vegas runs great on potatoes, sometimes even carrots!

anyway good luck with intel hd. Just make sure you have a flash drive on hand

Hi. On the 31st I'm going away on holiday but I can't bring my large gaming laptop with me and I am pretty much left with no choice but my secondary potato laptop. The laptop it's a Linx (UK Brand) 2 in 1 with detachable keyboard. The screen is a 10 inch display with a resolution of 1280x800. It has 2 GB of LPDDR3 ram. The CPU is an Chery Trail Atom X5-Z8300. The storage is 32gb from which I have left about 18 GB. What I am looking for is for older titles that will run on this computer as I don't know many at all and also any tips for making it run better or faster. Thanks!

You'd have trouble running even Minecraft on that...

Maybe if you had support for some of the older Windows XP era games, I wouldn't expect that machine to be capable of running much more than that.

In case you want to try and take my record in Space Cadet Pinball, I've peaked at 1.3 million points.

before upgrading i had a Toshiba satellite with a amd E3 and i use to play mount and blade warband and Starwars KOTOR 1 or 2 (also Jedi academi sith lords is quite good is you dont like the whole mmo style that KOTOR has (point and click)) on it (atom zombie smasher has a low performance mode and is only taking up 25mb), there is much fun to be had in both of those games, before you go always check to see if any game you get works well enough for you to play when you go away

Instead of gaming, why dont go outside and explore? You are going on holiday

A lot of the old value games will run, CS16, Portal, TF, HL, etc. Or some classic games, original DOOM and Quack

But no info on graphics was my point.

Onboard or discreet eh.

Not that I'm interested now,

but it would have been pertinent to my answer.
