Help Me build a $700 rig.

I have built one at PC part picker but I don't know if everything will work properly. The case has a PSU included, So I think it will do the job. If you can give me better Memory and Storage option it will be appreciated a lot. I am building this rig for gaming and slight photo editing. So Thanks in advance for all the help guys. Here my build log :-https://pcpartpicker.com/list/H79ZFt

for video editing, you need some more storage and you dont need such a powerful processor, a 1600 will do fine.

also i would get a 580 8gb as it is better for video editing due to the larger VRAM. you also need more ram.

I will add a hdd later and I have watched some reviews on youtube and 1060 is a good fps pusher as I have seen. I think for  everyday work a powerful processor is going to do a great job. What do you say? Will PSU with the case do its intended job properly?

Don't use the PSU that comes with the case. The ones that come with low end cases are always crap.

You say it's a $700 build, but the case, monitor and PSU is not included in the price? Do you already have those?

What country will you buy from?

:)

I already have a Acer monitor, You might have missed it. And the Case has a PSU included. So...I thought it will do the job. But It seems that I might have to buy a better as your opinio.

The N200 case is good, but I wouldn't trust the 500W PSU included.

Other than that, the build is solid. Add a HDD for general storage though.

Yeah,  I will do that later. Also I am thinking of buying a better PSU. Do you have any cheap and solid suggestion?

Thanks a lot. PC part picker shows my power needs at 262W. Why do I actually need a 500+ W psu. can you enlighten me in this matter?

With an overclock, you may reach around 300 - 400. Always good to have 100W headroom. If you want to save a buck, you can go down to a CX450M.

I think the figure the PC Part Picker shows is idle wattage and not when components are overclocked or under load.

Intel based build for a little better out of the box performance

I went with slower ram as intel doesn't need the extra speed. The 200mhz isn't going to make a difference and it shaved off 20 bucks

went with a EVGA gpu. Better price and much better warranty support. Not to mention it performs well.

Went with a slightly better case and with a solid power supply.

Note the case and monitor you were using did not have prices attached to them so the total was not accurate. The monitor still doesn't.

PCPP is overestimating. The PC should draw closer to 200W. Just click the 262W figure, and you'll see how they get to that number.

For a good PSU, they start at 400-450W. That's the wattage you should get. Depending on what's available and their prices, CX450, CX450M, Vengeance 400W or Pure Power 10 400W.

Not even close. Tell me more about how an overclock to a 200W PC will double the power draw.

And the headroom thing is just as crap. Any PSU from any decent brand will run at full power without issue.

Save you seen how they get their estimates? Click the wattage figure to get a laugh.

OP will won't be buying from the US. The pricing and availability varies by country, so you'll have to check their local pricing.
