NVIDIA GPU not detected on my HP laptop.

Hello,

today I discovered that my NVIDIA drivers were uninstalled. I've tried downloading and installing the latest drivers from NVIDIA's website, but the installer just said "could not find graphics hardware".

I've also tried looking into the device manager, but under Graphics Devices is only Intel integrated graphics. I have 2 unrecognised devices with these hardware IDs: atmelwindrvr, *WINDRVR6.

I've also tried running the built in Windows hardware troubleshooter with little to no success. The built in HP troubleshooter was also useless.

I am on the latest Windows 10 update, here is some information about my device:

Name: HP ENVY dv7 Notebook PC
Part number: C6D23EA#BCM
Windows build: 17134.167
BIOS version: F.2E Rev.A (the latest)

Help is appreciated.
Thanks!

try going nvidia's website and downloading the drivers directly from there. It will ask for your gpu make and model and it will give you the drivers
