Intel will offer 3DXP-based DIMMs (previously codenamed Apache Pass) that use a low-latency DDR4 memory interface, rather than PCIe. The first DIMMs will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities and work with the next-generation Cascade Lake server processor.

Very nice, I like this.

So the lowest capacity available with quad channel is 512GB. A bit aggressive, but probably fits the strengths of 3DXPoint anyway.

Good for servers, where you can store the whole database or cache into memory and operate on that. But it will cost a lot of money.
