Motherboard for 2700x and ddr4 4000

So, I want to build a new PC. And I got a good offer for some Hardware and I instantly bought it.

I got

  • Ryzen 7 2700x
  • GTX 1080Ti Palit Platinum Premium
  • Crucial Dominator Platinum 4000mhz DDR4 2x8 GB

Now I need to buy a motherboard and a Power Supply and I don't know which I should buy.

I read that Asus is Overall better than MSI but a more expenxive. My Budget is about 200€ for the Motherboard.

I want to use the most of my RAM and my CPU, but it should also be stable. It's for gaming and Streaming.

I had the Asus Prime X470-Pro, but replaced it with the Asus Crosshair VII. I can tell you that I can reach better clocks on my RAM with the Crosshair. The Prime wasn't stable above 3466MHz but the Crosshair can reach stable 3600MHz speeds.

You're gonna wanna get a good board, as that effects memory clocks, however 4000MHz is not something I've seen stable for daily use (though I have seen it, it was on an LN2 cooled CPU with 1.9v on memory) and it was on a pretty expensive board, the ROG Crosshair VII Hero, which is one of the best boards for memory speed

It's also very likely that the XMP profile will not work, so you'll need to either edit the settings from the XMP profile, or set it all manually.

Also It's Corsair Dominator Platinum,

and I've never heard of that GPU, are you sure that's the actual name?

Yours faithfully

You won't be able to run DDR4-4000 on Ryzen so I hope you got a killer deal :P

It's probably the Palit GameRock Premium 1080Ti. Couldn't find other Palit cards with the premium name.

PSU wise, any 550-650W should be more than plenty. Aim for a gold unit, like the Corsair TXM, EVGA SuperNova G3 and Seasonic Focus Plus.

ASUS Strix or ASrock Taichi or Gigabyte Gaming..7? Should be fine.

You will probably not hit 4000mhz though.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I don't want to run with 4000mhz. But 3400 at least. I bought them, because they were in the bundle.

They don't need to run on 4000mhz, i can Set them on 3200 or 3400 too, or?

Yeah, 3200 is pretty easy, 3466 and 3600 will be a bit more challenging.
