Can you remove a GPU from an 8 GPU rig?

I have an 8 GPU rig of 1080ti's but I want to repurpose one for my personal PC. Is there a way to remove just one GPU from the rig without ruining the other 7's usability for the rig?

You have 8 1080Ti's in a mining rig but you don't understand how to remove them? Did someone else build this or something?

Desktop: i7 7700K @ 4.7Ghz, 16GB DDR4, Cooler Master H80i v2, 500GB M.2 SSD, Fractal Focus G *white* case, Gigabyte 1080 8GB

Laptop: EVGA SC17 1070: i7 6820HK, GTX 1070, 32GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 4K Gysnc panel

Laptop: Eluktronics Mech 15 G2, i7 8750H, 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4, 480GB Nvme SSD, 144hz panel

yes I had help with this but I just want to make sure my investment is still usable with no problems after removing

Details: 12GB ram, GTX 1080, USB card passed through to windows 10 VM. VM's OS drive is the SATA SSD. Rest of resources are for Plex, Duplicati, Spaghettidetective, Nextcloud, and game servers.

It ought not to change anything other than that your mining rig won't be quite as productive
