Is this laptop good for Computer Science/Engineering (university context)?

Hi everyone,

I need some professional advice please and try to give me some of your precious time thank you :) Is this laptop good and sufficient for University in terms of its specs? (for Computer Engineering or Computer Science). The laptop: https://www.amazon.ca/Acer-Gaming-Laptop-i5-7300HQ-Windows/dp/B071JLXGCW/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1531584427&sr=1-4&keywords=gaming+laptop

Thank you.

If you're going to be doing some heavy duty compiling, I'd consider something with an i7-8550U for the extra threads.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Hypnotoad's RAM is dying, his motherboard is acting like the 6-year-old AsRock it is, a couple of SATA ports have just stopped working, but the RGB remains. The RGB always remains. Hypnotoad lives. All glory to the Hypnotoad.
