High disk usage

So I mostly play either CSGO or Fortnite

Now CSGO runs fine without any issues but whenever I run Fortnite,  my disk usage goes really high.

The game drops frames really bad, my FPS drops down to 1-10.

Whereas normally I get around 70-100.

So I checked my Task manager to find out the System process is using almost 30-40% of disk. That's why my game was dropping frames.

Can anyone help or suggest anything regarding this issue

(Love colours) :P

How much RAM do you have?  Disk thrashing is a symptom of running out of RAM.

I have 4gb ram, but this frame drop issue wasn't there like 3 months ago.

Do you have ANYTHING open in the background?  4gb of ram is the absolute minimum requirement.  So, minimum settings and no other applications running.

This.  You can build up a lot of background tasks in 3 months.  Open Task Manager (search it or mash ctrl, shift and esc) click 'More Details' down the bottom.  open the 'Start Up' tab and start disabling like you've never disabled before (all but absolute bare min)

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

It is %1000 you are running out of ram, background tasks will run and add up to be quite a bit, even ones that you aren't using or appear to be closed. Also any web browser will consume so much ram, I use microsoft edge (yes I know you guys will judge me for that but I like edge) and also chrome (the ufc fight library doesnt like to stream properly on edge) and either on will use up to 4gb of ram on their own even with maybe 8-14 tabs open.

I have everything disabled at start up, all unnecessary processes disabled in the Services too. Uninstalled Geforce Exp bcos it was also using my bandwith as well as disk. No malware or viruses as far as my knowledge ( I have a tad bit of troubleshooting knowledge).I clean my temp files every few days. Still the problem persists. I do have 4 Gb ram which isn't sufficient but it has never been a problem while playing CSGO or Fortnite before.

I make sure no background processes are running except the ones which are either system apps or Nvidia processes. Have the game exe set to max priority. Still, the "System" just goes nuts on my disk. Sometimes it's accompanied by Nvidia Webhelper or Nvidia Container or Windows defender (btw real time protection is also turned off). Idk what else I shud do.

You should get at least 8gb of ram
