.exe to .dxf or .dwg

I have downloaded files that were meant to be .dxf and .dwg files but they came as a .exe file. When I tried to run the .exe file windows says that it flat out cant run it. Can some one help me with this.

I don't think its supposed to be .exe. I got a free sotware that can open .dxf and .dwg file and it doesn't show up in there.

Question becomes, downloaded from where? And check your AV blocked list to see if that exe is just blank or blocked.
