Which rx 580 8gb to choose

Jumas548

Tell me the best for cooling and perfomance. If you mention some rx 580s, say that why it may be cheaper or more expensive and what features it has. And tell me the difference between sapphire rx 580 8gb nitro+ and pulse

Sapphire Nitro + is a very good rx 580 version.

Nitro is faster than pulse and should have better cooling?

I agree with @Some Random Member Sapphire is the way to go. I've got the Sapphire Nitro+ and it runs so cool and so silent. The loudest part in my rig now is my PSU xD

Currently my most demanding game is the Witcher 3, which I run with everything on max @1080p except Nvidia Gimpworks and Anti-Aliasing which I only set to like 2x. Can easily pull over 60fps.

Same card as the Nitro+. No real benefit worth paying money for.

It doesn't have anything special that the Nitro Plus doesnt have other than the color and LED Fans.

Go on youtube and look at some benchmarks and reviews.

Try doing some quick research on your own.

You can see the difference by checking Sapphire's website.

http://sapphirenitro.sapphiretech.com/en/580-8.html

NITRO+ RX-580

  • Black shroud, black no-LED fans
  • RGB 'Sapphire' logo
  • Up to 1411 MHz Boost on the GPU Core
  • 2000 MHz (8000 MHz effective) Memory

NITRO+ RX-580 Limited Edition

  • Regular NITRO+ with blue LED fans
  • Same RGB 'Sapphire' logo
  • Slightly higher Boot up to 1450 MHz on the GPU Core

NITRO+ RX-580 Special Edition

  • NITRO+ Limited Edition with blue shroud
  • Same RGB 'Sapphire' logo
  • Blue +Silver backplate (vs. Black + Silver)
  • Lower factory Boost vs. Limited Edition, 1430 MHz on the GPU Core
  • Slightly higher memory frequency, 2100 MHz (8400 MHz effective)
  • Same blue LED fans, and RGB 'Sapphire' logo

Pulse RX-580

  • Less fancier  "red" colour version
  • No RGB ' Sapphire' logo
  • Black shroud, black no-LED fans
  • Slightly slower 1366 MHz Boost on the GPU Core
  • Same 2000 MHz (8000 MHz effective) Memory
  • 2-slot heatsink/cooler vs 2.5-slot

Literally took me ~ 5 minutes.

The difference in performance?

1366 MHz vs 1450 MHz?

If using the SAME game, and SAME settings

About 5% ~ 7% . If one game gets 70 FPS with 1450 MHz, it will be about 66 FPS with 1366 MHz.

FPS will depend on the games you want to play, and the specifications of the rest of your system (e.g. CPU, RAM, etc).

I play Rainbow Six Siege...but you might not...so my FPS numbers is useless if you don't play the game.

I might get 120 FPS because I am using a $1000 i9-7900X , but you only get 100 FPS because you are using a i7-8700K.
