FPS epsilon 500w psu

Is fps epsilon psu (500w) good for build that uses core2quad and maybe gtx 560. Maybe i will get something less power hungry than that but if i go with that card will it work nicely? Recommend a cheap card is at least powerful as radeon 7750, i will appreciate :)

No, that is ancient garbage that will either die within a couple of weeks or kill your components. Its just too old.

Just get a modern decent quality 350W like Cougar STX350 (if in Europe or so). Makes more sense than an old, used and totally overpriced PSU.

For that the most I'd pay is like 15€ inkl Shipping. But thats already a strech.

Especially since you can get a decent quality 350W for like 30€.

And are you getting the components or do you have them alredy??

Still needs a cap job -> more expensive than a new one...

Because the caps aren't that cheap.

Its still a mid 2000s unit (came out in 2006 or so, so 12 Years old) and they used 8mm Caps (1h rated lifetime).

The Probability that you need to replace all the caps before usage with good quality Low ESR ones is very high. And a good quality cap cost upwards 50c. And you need rather big 8mm parts as well...

And its not something i'd recommend anyway, so get a new one or newer PSU.

I wouldn't even recommend an Enermax of the time without "refurbishing" it.

i'm not trying to insult you but if you know so much for pc as you think you would know that core2quad and gtx 560 build consumes at least 400W. i asked if things like 12v rails and wattage is enough for that build, if i could afford evga you wouldnt be able to see me here.

When a Phenom II/955BE with an GTX 570 consumes less than 400W and can run off a 350W (though not recommended!), how can the GTX 560 consume more than its bigger sister??

Things that can run off a 400W PSU include an i7-3930K with an RX480 OC (1330MHz, Powercolor Red Devil)

And I'm not talking about EVGA; I'm Talking about Cougar, FSP, HEC.

You might want to look for Delta and Liteon PSU. Maybe even Huntkey, though they are a bit dangerous, depending ont he model...

Another one might be HiPro you want to look for.

But be careful: THey did a lot of PSU that are NOT ATX compliant...

If you are lucky, you can get a good deal one of those.

Its better to look for those than get a 12 Year old FSP that had some long time reliability issues due to the Capacitor choice.

buy a fridge, strip it down. Get the psu out. Realise its not a psu. Get the epsilon psu. Burn down your house, and go play Minecraft in your local internet caffe.

Also my reccomendation for used gpus under 50$ are: GTX 550 Ti , GTX 560, GTX 660 , GTX 650 , GT 730 , GTX 750 , GTX 750 Ti , Radeon HD 7770 or R7 250.

I honestly copied that list from a blog on used cards under 50$ lol. But i agree the most with the GTX 750, if you can spend 50$ on one, or find one thats priced like that. Then get it lol

let me tell you something popup headlights guy

in normal scenario 750 is translated as 7 is the generation and 50/60/70 is how powerful the gpu is

we live in macedonia and here it is translated like this: 7 x 10 is the price and 50/60/70 is the discount you can get, in mkd denar ofc

I measured the setup with a power meter.

You guessed it with a shitty calculator.

Who wins?

My Setup was:
MSI K9N2 Platinum (sadly dead right now)

Gigabyte GTX 570

Cougar STX350 (had to use Adaptors)

and I measured like 350W Primary max.

Well if your going like that go see your recommended PSU for a GTX 550 Ti, its 400W. Go see pc part picker. It says 300W, btw the watts are measured in max load, so the pc will pull 300W max. If you get a 350W youd be fine
