a decent and affordable MATX MoBo

BTW, that board is for an AMD processor. The i7-2600 is a second gen Core I processor on the 1155 socket. You're definitely not going to get a new motherboard for it anymore, you'll probably have to hit ebay for a good used board.

Yeah gave up on it. i was trying to save it but the front panels man they're really a pain.one minute power switch was working then after that its dead. now im just looking for a decent and modern mobo (with an easier front panel to manage)

The K version is unlocked you can overclock it, but that board is compatible with the Ryzen 7 2600 and 2600X and is AM4 socket. Completely different.

 

Something like this is a reasonably priced board to keep your current CPU and RAM going for a while, while you save up to replace the CPU/MB/RAM together. Intel is now on the 8th generation, yours is second generation.

You are going to have to look into the USED market.

LGA 1155 boards have been discontinued for a number of years now .... (second generation Intel Core i series released back in 2010/2011, and discontinued 2013).

 

@kunka_boi161 The P67 Fatal1ty is definitely one of the better P67 boards, but it is not m-ATX, rather, full sized ATX.

Will the larger size be compatible with your computer case?

You're doing perfectly fine, and that board would work well, and is a decent price currently. I would try to get some kind of assurance from the seller that it's been tested, or at least a picture of the socket to make sure there are no bent pins, since it was a display model.

It can be hit or miss. Pay through paypal and you have at least some semblance of protection. That listing does not explicitly say that it's functional or been recently tested, so if it shows up dead, you may be out of luck.

Keep in mind that AsRock Fatal1yy board is on bit... could easily go up from the current $56 up closer to $100. Hard to say.

 

What other motherboards are available, or have you looked at?

Brain functions certainly take a hit...had to pull one off last Satur...Sunday. have two members from work preparing for a business meeting in Germany, and needed to pull some stuff off for them last minute...up until ~5:00am waiting for MATLAB to finish number crunching. Then up at 8:30am because daily tasks, followed by a 7 hour part-time shift until 10:30pm.
