, but i gave my dimensions and she said its ok, she added the dimensions which is: 70+32.8+6.4= 109.2 and said its no problem. now im pretty sure thats not how it works, you cant just count the sides and put them together. but then i checked this pdf from lufthansa: https://www.lufthansa.com/mediapool/pdf/68/media_1774488268.pdf and it says that theres no extra fee untill 158cm.

You should be fine. The baggage allowance isn't specifically the 55cm x etc. Basically you add all the dimensions together and it can't exceed 158cm. Technically you could have a pole 158cm long and 1cm wide and it would be technically within the limits. You should be fine as long as it fits in the overhead storage lockers.

sup lads,im flying with lufthansa, and i want to bring an lg ultrawide 29 inch monitor, the dimensions of the monitor are 70cm x 32.8cm x 6.4cm. now i checked the site and it says 55cm x 40cm x 23cm :https://www.lufthansa.com/us/en/Carry-on-baggage

now i called lufthansa to ask about this and see what i could do, i dont know if im dumb or the person over at lufthansa is, but i gave my dimensions and she said its ok, she added the dimensions which is: 70+32.8+6.4= 109.2 and said its no problem. now im pretty sure thats not how it works, you cant just count the sides and put them together. but then i checked this pdf from lufthansa: https://www.lufthansa.com/mediapool/pdf/68/media_1774488268.pdf and it says that theres no extra fee untill 158cm. im sorry if im missing something but i cant see it, (dont know if im just being retarded but i havent learned stuff like this at school yet).

now is my monitor allowed as carry on or not?

Thanks in advance ! :D
