Clevo W650KK1 barebones CPU suggestion

Hello, I received an Eluktronics W650KK1 (clevo) barebones laptop which uses a desktop 6 or 7th gen intel CPU with a 65w TDP limit. I will use the laptop mainly for gaming but Netflix and other general web browsing also.

 

My question: should I pair this laptop with an i7 7700 (non k) or would I be better off with the i7 7700T 35w variant? Its lower clocks 2.9ghz - 3.8ghz turbo. Will I notice any significant performance loss gaming with this CPU? Also how much will this effect battery life while surfing the web and or watching movies?

16gb 8x2 ddr4 2400mhz cas 16

1080p 60hz IPS panel

62.16 WHR 6 cell battery 5600mah

Windows 10 64

 

The reason I decided to build this thing rather than buy a prebuilt is because...

 

1 - recieved free as a gift

2 - had most of components needed to get it going minus the CPU

i7 7700 non k, however you need to do a few tweaks via Intel XTU for better CPU performance:

1. Undervolt

2. Increase PL1 limit and duration (if allowed)

Okay, thanks. The PL1 is the long turbo boost limiter correct? Upping that will help keep turbo clocks?
