Bluetooth vs. Wired Connection Quality to iMac

rf9661

Hello!

Will I be getting better audio quality if I plug my Sony WH-1000XM2 directly into my iMac instead of using Bluetooth? Just so you know, I am streaming music from Spotify at 320kbps.

Let me know,

Richard

It might vary by what version of Bluetooth you have.

Sound quality is also a lot more dependent on what headset you have, rather than how it's connected.

That probably won't have a difference between wired vs wireless.

Again, sound quality is determined mostly by what hardware you have. This refers to sound cards, DACs, amps, etc as well as the headset/speakers.

I wouldn't expect a difference in audio quality.
