R5 2400G Driver Updates

Koga

Well, I plan on buying an R5 2400G APU. I read about its driver problems in Linux and also stuttering while playing Games on Windows. I'd like to know, if anybody knows what the current status is.

Also, is 2400G good for basic Machine Learning ? I know tensorflow and pytorch benefit from Nvidia's CUDA Cores. What about Vega ?

Personally I would ask in a developer's section of the forum about Machine Learning, but I wouldn't really get an APU with that in mind.  I've heard people getting better results with the higher end vega gpus in linux (with some tweaking), but I really don't know how efficient they are in those specific ML workloads.  Probably almost nobody is trying to use the 2400g for that purpose, but I imagine it's the same principle.

For gaming, it's a pretty good value.  It really does good as a budget HTPC type chip.
