$1300 AUD 1080p Gaming PC

I am going to be helping my brother to build his gaming PC,

1. Budget & Location

The budget for this build will be $1300 AUD and all parts will need to be available in Australia.

2. Aim

This system will be used for gaming at 1080p 60fps in most modern games. Games that would be played include Fortnite, GTA V, Call of Duty, Battlefield and most other AAA games.

3. Monitors & Peripherals

Only one monitor will be used and all peripherals including the monitor, keyboard and mouse will need to be purchased, the monitor will need to be 1080p and at least 60hz but if there is room in the budget a higher hz monitor would be great.

This PC will not be an upgrade from any other PC instead it will be a first step into the PC world.

It would be great if someone could put together a PC from both Intel and Ryzen to get an idea of which will perform better, a 1050 Ti is the minimum for the PC aswell.

Aesthetics aren't really important in this build as long as it gets the job done, a case will be needed.

Thanks for any help

Any websites that are used in australia?

just build it off the Australian PCPartPicker, it's just much easier and at least you'll see the cheapest prices.

thanks

The keyboard and mouse combo is available from PCCG

I went with the 1050 Ti and a b360 mobo, would a 1060 6gb with a H-series board be a better option, is there a need for an after market cooler?

Why did you add what you did in your build? Just wondering.

Thanks

the 1050ti is a big performance downgrade from a 1060 6gb/rx 580, better to cut down on unnecessary things like RGB and such for a better GPU.

Figure I'll toss my hat in the ring on this as well. RAM I chose is guaranteed by Mobo QVL to work.

Case will allow for additional SSD/HDD to be added if additional storage is required.
