My new ryzen 2200 build in boot loop

So I buildt my first pc build with

EVGA 450w bronze

ryzen 2200

geforce gtx 1050

2x4 ddr4 RAM

ASRock A320M

hitachi 7200rpm 750gb hard drive

and I got one piece of hardware a week at a time (7 weeks) and I finally got my graphics card July 3rd only to see it not have any display, it showed nothing on my tv screen, the graphics card fans were turning off after about 3-4 seconds and the prossesr fan was turning off after about 15-20 seconds, then a click and the same thing. My friend that was helping me build the computer said it was probably the power supply’s fault so I ordered a new one ( Corsair cx450) and that just came in today and I’m having the same problems. Please someone help me, I am very frustrated.

Did the motherboard box have a sticker on it saying it was Raven Ridge ready/compatible?

A320 motherboard was a mistake.  They tend to not get firmware updates and the Ryzen G2200 requires a new firmware to work.  This is why the PC wont boot.

You can contact AMD for a "boot kit" that will allow you to update the firmware, if there is a new firmware.

Bad way to build a PC

Why did you get an A chipset board? Wait doesn't that motherboard not even have video outputs for the APU?

Was it working before you put the new GPU in?

You might need to update the BIOS if it wasn't working at all. You can get a boot kit from AMD, though most motherboards should be updated by now.

Would have recommended an ASrock Pro4 B350 board in any event...and why a GPU with the APU?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

You should always buy all of your components at once. (Or at least the major components.) That way you can immediately upon arrival do some troubleshooting to make sure the components are not faulty. And if they are, you still have warranty and are able to send them back.

I didn’t realize that it didn’t have video output until I put in the ryzen and then I realized it so I had to buy a graphics card

It doesn’t have video output, will this have any effect on it (only that graphics card have video output)

Return the motherboard, return the GPU, get an ASrock Pro4 so you can actually use the APU, it should have updated BIOS.

Then just save up for a better GPU than the GTX 1050.

Video output isn't going to affect the CPU, but your motherboard probably just has an older BIOS that doesn't support the 2xxx series.

Or get an AMD boot kit.
