I5 8600K Idle Temps

Hi there,

 

I wanna ask a question:

 

I have 8600K CPU and CM MasterLiquid 120 Lite push-pull (sp 120) set'd cooler. 8600K running at 4.6 Ghz 1.25V all cores.

 

Ambient temp is about 32-34 degree celsius and 8600K never go down under 40 degree celsius at idle.

 

Is this a normal?

Idle will always be a few degrees above ambient so I would say so. I would be more concerned about max temps if you max temps are reasonable then I wouldn't worry.

idle temp seems about right given your ambient, which is hot as hell for ambient by the way.

 

EItherway, idle temp doesnt really matter that much. as long as you're not hitting thermal limits under load you'll be fine

Thanks for help, under load (occt linpack) temps about 65-70 degree celsius.

those are perfectly fine temps. the 8600k is rated for higher than that.

 

personally, anything under 70c is fantastic and is what i aim for

The load temp of 65 - 70 is good. Nothing to worry about.

My idle temps are about 36 air cooled with hyper 212 with ambient temps at 22.5 C.  So I think you are seeing normal temps for your ambient.  Btw, get an air conditioner, dude... your ambient temps are pretty hot!
