BattlEye's official website:

Quote

When starting my game with BattlEye enabled, my SpeedFan (or potentially other hardware-related) software stops working. Please fix it!

BattlEye is blocking certain software that is using kernel drivers which contain known security issues that can be exploited by cheats. We cannot support such software and therefore cannot provide a fix. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of such software or, if there is no newer version available, contact the developer/vendor of the software to notify them of the problem.

Google also finds results for every popular game utilizing BattlEye

SpeedFan hasn't been updated in 2 years and should no longer be recommended until it is

I've just started using Argus Monitor, seems to be the only other thing that can do what SpeedFan can.

Theres some good games using BattlEye and I don't see it becoming less common.

As mentioned in the post above the only thing I've found that can do what SpeedFan can is Argus Monitor its what everyone is switching over to

People were saying it still works after the 30 days it just asks you to register, and that the previous versions on their site are free forever no asking.

I don't know if its true but I guess I'll find out soon enough. There's always a way.

I don't know why it wouldn't be saving settings for you though, you saved them in profiles and have apply last settings at startup checked?

I actually think Argus Monitor might be causing my PC to crash for some reason though? I have no idea what else has changed recently...

There is no alternative I really hope its not the problem -_-

I'm back to BIOS fan control myself since I could never get Argus Monitor to stop crashing... I even created a system image, formatted, clean installed Windows just to see if it would still crash which it did.

So unless a new version comes out fixing whatever is wrong with it, or SpeedFan gets updated, or BattlEye reverses blocking it, or some new fan control software comes out that can control fans based on GPU temps, I'm just screwed.

Just my luck the only other program in the world that can do what SpeedFan can doesn't work for me -_-

I dont think a patch to the driver will be done, the creator i believe stopped development to it years back.

So i guess ..........

RIP Speedfan :(

I kinda wish Argus Monitor didn't exist, since it basically doesn't for me, cause then maybe someone would have found another solution lol...

But ya RIP SpeedFan
