Hi, my quistion is

 

Can I run my pc using my chromebook as the monitor 

 

My chromebook has a HDMI port 

 

So can I use the chromebook as the display for the pc

No, that HDMI port is for an external display only. I've never seen any production laptop with a built-in capture card...

 

You could perhaps sell the chromebook for another monitor or something......

You wont be able to do that. You can output the Chromebook's display to a monitor, but not a PC to the Chromebook's display. There are plenty of cheap monitors online to choose from.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. That HDMI port is for output only.

Are you looking for e second monitor for your PC? If so, what specs do you prefer for what kind of budget?
