10-series at MSRP from Nvidia!

So about 5 minutes ago, I saw an ad from Nvidia. It said that they were selling all GTX 10-series cards at MSRP. I thought it was too good to be true, but after checking their site, they were telling the truth.

With the cards being lowered, I'm afraid they'll go SUPER quick and be sold out, so I'm assuming time is short. Here's my question.

I want to know if I should pull the trigger on a 1080TI now, at $699 (MSRP) or wait... 5 months? for the new 11-series or 20-series?

I have been planning this build, the only thing holding me back was the prices of cards.

I'm looking to future proof this build, which I believe the 1080Ti will do nicely.

You can always get all the other parts now, and it'll free up enough budget to get the i7-8086

 

Don't forget once the 11/20 hit they'll be selling 10xx below MSRP to clear stocks. but You'll have to wait till it launches to find out.

What do you mean free up enough budget for that CPU? I haven't heard much about it. What's up with it?

you can find them for about $399 or so, and they're basically factory-binned 8700k's, all of them are doing at least 5 gHz all-core overclocked, most are doing 5.2-5.3 gHz all-core. So... it's like buying a binned chip from Silconlottery only cheaper.
