What can run on my 500w PSU?

I’ve currently got a GTX 1050 and a Pentium G5460 in my system. I was curious about my upgrade potential with my 500w Bronze power supply. Could that power supply run an i7 7700 and an RX 570? Or would I need a 600W?

depends on what 500w unit it is. There are good units of this wattage, and a LOT more that are bad.

500w itself is more than enough, the problem is the quality of PSU, not wattage.

The answer to your question would be dependent of the other specifications of your system and the amount of power draw they take. I would suggest using Outervision Power Supply calculator in order to find out the wattage the system with these specifications would draw and what they recommend as the wattage to maintain stability of you machine in general as the computer gets older especially.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

It depends on what all else is in your system and what PSU you have.

Well a 500W of decent quality can power nearly any single GPU system out there. What PSU do you have?

If it's a good quality PSU, then you will be fine.

That's not a good unit. Don't go past the RX570 in your plans and replace when the warranty is up or when you get another, better GPU.

Do you have any recommendations for a better 500W
