Lost files due to bios change

ChickenSnitt

I have an asus hero vii motherboard with a samsung m.2 ssd and a 3tb Nas sata II hdd and I clicked on raid, restarted and pressed ctr i to enter raid menu and I created one. Then windows wouldn't boot and I reset the raid and got both drives back. Started up start up repair, managed to load windows and then my (hdd) drive D was missing and all my files except for drive C. Can I return things to normal ?

I had my system image on there and it won't let me select restore point. :(

Shows up but it's unallocated so it's gone

format and restore backups.

If you don't have backups, your best bet is a datarecovery service.

So I format it then try the back ups? What if the back up for my hdd was on the hdd and it won't let me pick it because it says the drive isn't on

its not a backup if its on the same drive. You have backups on anouther hdd or cloud service right?

Look for places near you, otherwise there are lots of companies that will do it.

You can try recuva program, its free and works wonders, but of course it is always better to go to specialists.

I'll check it out! @some random member

What would be best in bios settings for my ssd and hdd. Is raid even worth it on a gaming/editing pc?
