Steam Link Sale??

Mr. Mantis

Hello, I'm thinking about buying the Steam Link its currently on sale on Steam for $2.50. Unfortunately the shipping is $7.99 making it now $10.49. Would this still be a good deal considering the free Steam Link App??

Its a great deal. Its 50$ normally so even at 10$ thats still 80% off. Also, you can use it to basically stream anything from your desktop to the TV or monitor you have the steam link hooked too. All you do is take it out of Big Picture mode and boom, you have your full desktop to you.

But it will require a device to run team viewer and latency is a lot higher since you're streaming to and from the team viewer servers.

There's no place like ~

Teamviewer isnt sketch. Teamviewer is a great program, just not meant for streaming things from one PC to another.

@Dionyz Teamviewer adds extra latency etc.. where as the steamlink runs over your existing LAN via Ethernet to connect and send the data, effectively only adding like 1-5ms at most.

Teamviewer has had many security breaches and violations throughout the past, not to mention that the program refuses to not run on a system at all times
