Framerate dropping and white screen crash

The problem started happening about 2-3 days ago. I was playing Overwatch and suddenly mid game my screen goes white and I can't do anything except shut down my pc manually. Now when I start the game my framerate keeps dropping from 60 to like 25, then goes back up to 60 and the process repeats. After a 10 - 20 seconds I get the white screen crash (well, the screen isn't always white, sometimes it green or blue or purple etc). Sometimes I get the crash immediately after the game launches. I should add that when running the game in window mode the framerate stays at 60, but when playing for a little bit the crash does still happen after a while.

This is not an issue limited to Overwatch however. I tried Rome 2 TW and ran the in game benchmark to see what happens. The first time it completed it, however my average framerate was somewhere in the 20's which is much lower than what I got in the past. The second time I ran the benchmark the crash happened about half way through. I should also note that some of the units weren't loaded completely. I tried running the heaven benchmark and the crash happened pretty much instantly when it started. It also happens in Quake Champions.

So that's the description of the problem. Here are the things that I've tried so far:

- Installing the drivers again

- Completely removing the driver with the DDU tool, then installing the nvidia drivers again (clean install, downloaded the driver from nvidia site)

- Doing the above but hiding nvidia windows update with wushowhide before installing the drivers again

- Doing the above but with an older nvidia driver (downloaded from gigabyte site)

- Removing the gpu then installing it again in case it was sitting loose

- Around the time when this issue started happening I updated my logitech mouse software. Thinking this might be the cause I removed the program but it didn't help

- I ran a stability test with aida64 to see if the crash would happen but nothing happened after an hour, I also ran cpu and gpu benchmarks in cinebench out of curiosity but nothing happened there either

I should add that when doing the aida64, after clicking on "Stress GPU(s)" I got a message that said "The Windows video driver Timeout Detection and Recovery delay (TdrDelay) value is configured too low. It may cause the video driver to be reset while running the AIDA64 System Stability Test. Do you want AIDA64 to fix this issue for you now? Please note that you need to restart Windows after altering the TdrDelay value."

I'm not sure what this means but I clicked yes then restarted my pc, didn't seem to fix the issue tho.

- At one point when I tried the removing driver with DDU thing again, before installing the new driver I tried running Overwatch first to see if it would crash. I was getting 5 fps (obviously since there is no driver) but no crash was happening.

I think that's about it. I don't know what to do anymore tbh, any help? Should I try updating the bios(or resetting)? This is driving me crazy.
