I have a problems with my PC

Hi,i am MatYou(ok you can clearly see that)

I have a problem that occured today for the first time and its happening all the time

I am experiencing stutters i mean kind of stutters..

Let me explain:

-So i am a PC gamer and sometimes when i play my screen just lag or something and everything stops for a sec(or few seconds)

idk whats the problem i am playing fast paced games (Overwatch) and its impactining my gameplay very much.

-The problem also occured while i was watching twitch stream with the lags that came from me and not the stream by it self...

-I checked the task manager to see if i am running low on RAM(because i know when you are low on ram space your game will experience sudden frame drops(from 60 to 0 in 0 sec :(  ))

but everything seemed to be fine even while i was playing i had comfort of few gigs of ram

-This problem occured not only in overwatch but in every other game i played(Call of duty,Fortnite)... (damn i missed that Victory royale because of it :(  )

-I think i need to mention that i recently bought new 144hz monitor...(I know i connected it through DP)

My sistem:

(i know its a potatoe for 144hz gaming monitor but i am only 16 and on a budget^-^)

-I5 2400 4cores 3.1GHz

-8GB DDR3 1333Mhz

-Gtx 1050 2GB

-300W PSU

-Lenovo Legion 144hz 1080p (monitor)

-And yea i lowered the settings in games so that i can maintain that 144 FPS all the time

-My FPS is running between 144-110/119

-If you need any more info just ask i will reply as fast as i can

as you said, its a potato system lol, it cant handle the programs your throwing at it so it stutters, its not fixable if your pc is a potato..

tho for overwatch the gtx 1050 can handle it, ims eeing here a 300W PSU? thats not good.. you need to turn off your pc right now and buy at least a 600W PSU, im running a 1050 2GB with 16GB of ram and a ryzen 7 1800X and i have a 850W PSU.. your underpowering your pc by a lot and can dammage the parts hard by doing this... immidately buy a new PSU

As he said your PSU is under powered for your system and that could actually be part of your issue. 300W is just not enough for that cpu and gpu combo. I don't think you 'need' a 600w for your current system if you have to just get by but something like that gives you headroom for future upgrades.

Your CPU needs to be replaced, and I'd hazard a guess the PSU also.

The i5-2400 should be able to handle the games he's running. I'd strongly recommend starting with the PSU, and if you're still having issues move onto Modern CPU+Mobo+Ram. Just my 2c

Ryzen 9 3950x - 64 GB DDR4 - NVME 980 pro SSD - EVGA RTX 3080 FTW Ultra - FAD CASE

try this

i3-8100 << real cheap option for your gaming

B360M AORUS gaming << one of the cheapest mobo can haddle up to 64gb ram

8GB DDR4 2400Mhz << can go higher if u have $$, cheaper to buy 1x 8gb than 2x 4gb.

GTX 1060 3GB << should handle most of your game

enjoy~

no he needs at least 600W, you dont want just enough to power it, you want more then enough, otherwise it could sitll under power it

So slow that, given the application, it may be causing problems here.
