Hello guys!

I bought a PC 5 years ago. Recently my PC started to give me bugs and problems and now I need to upgrade (and btw my CPU died yesterday). Before it was a AMD radeon 770 HD series GPU, MSI FM2-A75MA-P33 motherboard and some kind of athlon 4 core 3.2 GHz CPU (don't remember which one exactly because it's already in my trash can).

I have already swapped GPU and PSU. I got GTX 1050 4GB TI GPU and SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze EVO Edition 520W ATX12V v2.3 PSU. For storage I have Samsung 850 evo 250gb and some kind of 1TB HDD (doesn't matter). Everything else I need to change (CPU, RAM, Motherboard).

I was thinking about getting the Ryzen 5 CPU (still can't decide between 1600X, 2600 and 2600X, but im leaning more towards 2600X), GIGABYTE AB350M-GAMING 3 motherboard and G.SKILL RIPJAWSV 32GB 3200MHZ DDR4 CL16 DIMM KIT OF 2 F4-3200C16D-32GVK RAM. I was looking at PATRIOT VIPER 4 16GB 3000MHZ DDR4 CL16 KIT OF 2 PV416G300C6K. I don't care how much RAM memory i get for now but i know i'll want to upgrade later to 32GB.

What are your thoughts if I go for Ryzen 5 2600X with that G.SKILL RAM? Or there are some better options in your thoughts. I don't want to spend too much money but at the same time i'd rather pay a bit exrtra so I wont get any unnecessary surprises later. With this upgrade I'm hoping to last at least 4 next years.

Hopefully long time PC builder enthusiasts aren't getting a heart attack looking at my theoretical build.

P.S. Sorry for typos if there are any. English was only my 3rd language i have learned.

P.S.S. Everyone have a nice day!

For RAM, you're going to want a 3000MHz at the minimum anyway for a Ryzen system, I would personally go for the G.Skill kit though.

So as I understood 2600X with AB350M and G.SKILL 3200MHZ RAM is a good combo? Or maybe i'd rather stick to 2600 and buy a better cooler? So many people on the internet have so many different opinions.

Heh, thanks! :)

Go with the 2600X if you do not intend to buy an after-market cooler and/or overclock. Otherwise go with the 2600 (it comes with a worse cooler so you should replace it) and just overclock it to 2600X levels.

I'd get 3200 MHz RAM over a good cooler as you can just buy the cooler later.

OK cool, thanks. My biggest concern was the RAM. Didn't know if it's the right choice but it seems I should stick with the G.SKILL then.

Btw, I am still interested in other people thoughts. :) So don't be shy expressing your opinions!

G.Skill provides lifetime warranty. I would always go with them :)
