Does lack of sleep cause a lasting cough?

I've had this cough for a month now and it's pretty annoying. My biggest fear is it being early stage of Lung Cancer but the only symptoms I've experienced are weakness and a cough that isn't going away. 

 

The weakness is extremely likely due to my lack of sleep because I game all night and wake up early. I'm 13

 

The cough just suddenly appeared and it's not been going for ages and my dad is saying  its because of lack of sleep but i hardly believe it.

 

Any advice on how to cure

Not in my experience, and I've been steadily losing sleep my whole life.

You really shouldn't be staying up playing games all night at any age. Especially if you're less than 16. That's not gonna help you at all later in life.

Lack of sleep can affect the immune system. The cough could be any number of issues which range from minor to severe. If your cough isn't going away or is getting worse I would highly suggest seeing a doctor.
