The crucial is better. It's not you can feel the difference much better, but in rare conditions you will. Get the mx500.

Which is faster? And also is the difference even perceptible in terms of boot up time, opening games and files etc. I do some video and photo editing once in a while but not much if that helps.

MX500 of course. WD Green is their budget SSD, in other words crappy SSD.
