Anyway to title says it all..

I wanna know if 8700 will not throttle and turbo boost will work properly.. (4.6 ghz on 1 core , 4.5 on 2 , 4.4 on 3 , etc..)

Also is the mobo fine ?

(Its cheaper than the other b360 mobo's here)

Can the antec a40 pro handle the 8700 ? Non k..

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

That cooler isn't going to be much better than the stock cooler, should also get a case that actually has airflow.

Why not a potentially cheaper Ryzen system?

What's your monitor resolution/refresh rate?

You can save money by getting a B series board as your i7 isn't overclockable anyway, and with the saved money get a Cryorig or Be Quiet! cooler.

The A40 Pro performs similarly to the 212 Evo and would be plenty of cooling.

Why are you looking at this cooler in particular?

Isn't it only a 92mm cooler?

Yes. That isn't all that determines performance though.

M9i is also 92mm and can beat 212 Evo. It doesn't have such good availability as CM coolers...

Seems like it's going to be hotter in general, and potentially nosier, I just don't see the point in getting it over a larger 120mm cooler given that he's using a large case anyways

The 212 Evo performs a bit better and isn't as noisy. A stock 8700 isn't very difficult to cool and either would be fine.

There are probably better alternatives than either of the two though.
