Have you tried reseating the RAM? Couldn't hurt to try.

Hello guys. I am not sure where this belongs, I hope here is the right place.

So... Today I upgraded my Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming to an Asus ROG Z370 Maximus X Hero.

I deinstalled everything from Gigabyte and installed a few things from Asus.
But in my RGB RAM is not showing up in Asus Aura. Do you guys have any idea why ?

I have the newest BIOS & Aura Version

Thank you for your help ^^

Do you mean take it out and put it in again ?

For that to show up in Aura you need to go into the BIOS and enable SPD Write on the RAM. It is disabled by default on Asus boards, but enabled on most other brands.

  • 3 weeks later...

I had Asus Aura and both my G Skill Dimms appearing fine, then I've added more RGB items (some fans, etc) and DIMM 0 doesn't sync, DIMM 2 is still fine.

Uninstalled Asus Aura (which was nearly impossible, needed to use Revo Uninstaller), and AI Suite 3, re-installed them both, still exactly the same issue.

Not sure who to be mad at Asus or G Skill, they were both working no problem, now the first DIMM has gone completely rogue for some reason kinda annoying.
