So I looked all over the this site, Other sites and youtube and I can not find an answer to this question. 

 I am curious if anyone knows if a standard Home Theature AVR would make a good Headphone amp? As for codecs and sound processing this is really unmatched. As for having the power to run my HD 6XX to the max is another question. 

 I get Ok sound out of my Asus MOBO but would this be a worthy upgrade for say 90% headphone use and 10% use to power speakers. 

 Or would it simply be better to get a dedicated headphone amp.
